Saraipali, Basna, Khallari and Mahasamund together cover the Mahasamund district. Rajim and Bindranawagarh assembly segments are part of Raipur district. Kurud and Dharamjaigarh constituencies are part of Dhamtari district. Saraipali constituency is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates, whereas Dharamjaigarh constituency is reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.^[2]
